When Naomi was around a year and a half old, she started to have trouble fitting comfortably in our Britax Infant Car Seat. It was time to look for a new seat. Since both my husband and I traded shifts to drop off and pick up from daycare, we soon realized that we would need two separate carseats for each car. At the time, we were financially stretched. So, we bought a different Graco car seat, to start, for our first car. As we pinched pennies to get the second seat, I did an Amazon search, a few minutes of research, and decided on the Graco Milestone All-in-1 Convertible Carseat.

I would have loved to have two of the seat we bought for our first car, but that seat cost us around $300. Initially, I felt like I settled for the Milestone. Now, 3 out of 4 of our seats are Graco Milestones! Below are 5 things we absolutely love about this car seat.

The Price

On Amazon, this car seat is more than affordable, plus it is eligible for free shipping with Amazon Prime! I do participate in Amazon’s affiliate program and can earn commission on eligible purchases. Please check out the link above for the current price. Our other carseat cost us about $300 in comparison. If you have to buy two carseats at once, like we did, this will save you a very pretty penny.

Safety

The Graco Milestone can be adjusted for height to ensure that your little one is seated properly. I love that the harness is easy to operate. The straps rarely get stuck or pull out unevenly. I also never have problems unbuckling the girls – even a coffin shaped acrylic is bested by this buckle. There are various positions you can switch between, which make the kids having a snack or drinking a bottle one less thing for you to fear.

Space

Whether front or rear facing, this seat takes up way less room than other carseats we have used. The fact that it doesn’t have cupholders, which seem to cause more of an issue than anything else for us anyway, doesn’t bother us. If you’re into cupholders, a detachable one is included. We have plenty of room to squeeze our toddler through one side of the car to get to her seat, which is all we really need.

Longevity

Don’t you love getting a bargain product that hold up over time? The Graco Milestone can hold children weighing from 40-100 pounds! The seat starts off rear facing, turns to face front, and will eventually become a booster seat. The first two transitions are extremely easy to make. My husband had two seats fully installed in both vehicles last night in under 20 minutes! The quality of the materials is fantastic. They hold up well in a washing machine and air dry fairly quickly without fading or looking worn.

Style

Lastly, Ayla style that was chose is so cute! It’s a bright pink a blue, which had both girls running to sit in their “princess seats” as soon as they came out of the boxes. Technically, our 1 year old was doing a brisk power walk, but we felt the enthusiasm. The material is plush and feels more than comfortable enough for a child. This was a big factor I worried about when ordering online. We tend to take a few road trips throughout the year and needed to make sure the seats we chose were so comfortable the girls would have no problems falling asleep in them. I was going for something that felt like my favorite couch to take a nap on, which happens to be my grandma’s couch. These seats came pretty close.

Overall, I would highly recommend this car seat. We have been blessed enough to never have been in a car accident with our kids, so I can’t speak from that experience. I will say that for everyday parenting, these seats are affordable, practical, and comfortable.

Have you ever ordered a carseat online? How did you feel comfortable enough to choose something so pricey that you wouldn’t be able to see beforehand?
